Experimental Idea For this experimental project, I'm planning to take pictures of old materials like stuffed animals, vintage materials etc to represent nostalgia. I want to represent and spread a message to everyone to be young at heart, and not to judge people for what they love. As an animation major, I love a lot of animated movies created by other companies but I love and treasure Disney materials. As I've gotten older, my parents have told me that I need to do things that are more for adults and that no one my age loves Disney or animated cartoons. That just made me sad and angry because they didn't understand that it geared towards everyone. I'm hoping to garner pictures to prove a point so that not only my parents understand, but that other people understand that not everything is geared towards kids. Just be passionate and be a kid at heart, and not let anyone take that opportunity away from you.

Photogram For this project, I used pasta shells, plants, coins, etc. to create this photogram. I placed each item on the sunprint paper for 25 minutes until they were lighter spots. After being out in the sun, it was time to remove the objects and it turned out perfect.  Next thing I did was to put the sunprint paper in the water to get a better quality of the printing. One of the photograms that I used looks like a flower when I put the coins and pasta shells on there. This assignment has taught me to be creative and making things out of a lot of material. I feel very passionate about it. 

Landscape The TPC golf course is one of Tampa bay’s award winning championship golf courses located in Lutz, Florida.  It was built in 1991 by the PGA tour. It is an 18 hole resort course and was named one of the top five courses in Florida.  It is a beautiful golf course and winds through lakes and natural wetlands.   I choose this location because of its natural setting and the wild life that you can sometimes find such as deer, cranes and alligators. It is ranked amongst the top golf courses in the State of Florida.  What makes this golf course unique is it’s beautiful natural setting and the fact that it is nestled in a residential neighborhood with beautiful homes.

Introduction Biography My name is Rachel Asante-Korang. I'm a junior at UT and my major is animation. This is my second year attending UT. I originally went to Saint Leo University my freshman year then transferred to this school my sophomore year last semester. I'm from Tampa, Florida, and I live in a city called Lutz which is not too far from the school. It's about 40 minutes from here. I have taken photography before years ago at my old middle school's summer camp called Camp IDS at a school in Carrollwood called Corbett Preparatory School of IDS. I did something similar to photography last year in Sound, Image, & Motion but was mostly for filming. I am hoping to learn more about doing close up shots, and taking cool pictures.
